Were looking for someone who has extensive experience in building high performing applications and is very comfortable with embedded software development including all levels of software from applications to protocol stacks to device drivers.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and test embedded software based on EASE Diagnostics standards and processes for automotive diagnostic OBD2 devices.
Work closely with other domains (i.e. Hardware, Systems) to ensure robust, efficient, production intent solutions
Additional Responsibilities may include:
Maintain efficient and close cooperation with hardware development
Support of peer reviews through all development stages.
Quote development, requirements analysis, design/architecture, code, and test
Plan and track tasks and communicate status
Work products complying with industry software engineering process requirements
Support field issue resolution.
Software verification activities: module testing and integration testing
Debug on emulator and debugger, including use of test equipment (oscilloscope, ect.)
Basic Qualifications:
A motivated self:starter capable of working well in team environment or being a responsible engineer for an assigned project.
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or related field.
Good communication skills
Ability to work in a team
Strong presentation skills
1+ years of development in C.
Working Knowledge of C/C++ and/or assembly programming languages.
Perform multiple tasks and work independently on new or complex assignments.
Able to systematically solve problems and perform root cause analysis.
Identify problems and risks as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve and mitigate them
Able to operate with limited direction.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years plus experience in embedded software development in C.
Solid knowledge of IAR or similar IDE
Deep understanding of Functional and Object Oriented Programming.
Solid in:depth hardware knowledge of microcontroller peripherals such as Digital Inputs/Outputs, ADC, PWM, SCI/SPI, CAN, Timer units preferred
Experience in vehicle communication protocols and networks
