Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Analyst - (Wilkes-Barre) in Scranton, Pennsylvania For Sale
This is an Evaluation to Hire position for a growing company in the Wilkes-Barre area. This position will start out at a minimum of 25 hours per week. Perform day to day management of all payment cycle activities and provide efficient client service; Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data Keep track, process and reconcile payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, checks, refund requisitions etc, in compliance with financial policies and procedures; Keep track and process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures Ensure correct approval, sorting, coding and matching of invoices/receipts Liaise with internal and external clients Regularly tabulate data and compile necessary reports Continuously improve payment processes Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted. Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues Facilitate swift payment of invoices due to the organization by sending bill reminders and contacting clients with outstanding accounts Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status Proven working experience as accounts payable/receivable clerk Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software Proficiency MS Excel and Quick books Customer service orientation High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
